The Door Youth Project

The Door Youth Project Unlocking Potential and Opening Opportunities for young people and their families. There is no law against these things!

The Door is open so that all young people and their families can feel safe, happy and valued. Offering safe spaces, positive role models and above all hope for the future. The Door’s vision is for a society where every young person’s future is determined by their potential, not their past. With over 30 years of experience serving communities across Gloucestershire, The Door provides both group and

1:1 support for young people aged 11-25 and their families in youth clubs, through mentoring and support groups as well as whole family support and parenting courses. Founded by a group of local Christians in 1991 our values are taken from the Bible: Galatians 5:22:

The fruits of the spirit. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Find out more at https://www.thedoor.org.uk

Float to Live - advice from the RNLI for anyone out and about by water.
· Tilt your head back, with your ears submerged
· Relax and try to breathe normally
· Move your hands and feet to help you stay afloat
· It’s fine if your legs sink, we all float differently
· Practise floating in a local pool if you can.

If you see someone else struggling in water:
· Phone 999 to get help
· Tell them to stay calm and float on their back
· Throw rescue equipment to help them float until emergency services arrive
