It's that time of year again. The Open Food Network Shopfront is open!

You can order Avocados, Clementines, Lemons, and Navel Oranges until 13th November with an expected date of Monday 7th December for collection.

There is also an option for pay-it-forward Oranges again at weight options of 2kg, 5kg, or 10kg to be donated to foodbanks and community hubs on your behalf.

As it may be of interest - Sustainable crafting with a upholstery stool workshop at the Trinity Rooms Community Hub in Stroud!

Sunday 25th October 10am–4pm. Join us for a fantastic upholstery workshop at our Trinity Rooms Community Hub in Stroud.

Led by Katy Pinnington. Learn the basics of traditional upholstery and make your own stuffed footstool from scratch.

"The workshop is about much more than making a footstool — it’s about showing people how satisfying & achievable it can be to repair, reuse, breathe new life into furniture, rather than buying new or throwing beautiful things away. Whilst also introducing sustainable techniques & material options."

Beginners welcome, with all tools and materials provided. If possible, please bring your own top fabric (70 × 60cm).

"It’s a simple project that anyone can have a go at, with no previous experience, but hopefully it will be the start of people feeling more confident about making, repairing and looking after the things they already have."

£165 per person. Includes a 30-minute lunch break.

A big thanks to everyone who came to our recent local food resilience meeting on the 4th September at the Trinity Rooms Community Hub. As well as all who shared their views on our pre-meet document or have been in touch by email.

Two great food events at the trinity rooms for this year's Stroud festival of commons!

We are delighted to be part of this year's Stroud Festival Of Commoning with two delicious events taking place at our Trinity Rooms Community Hub on day two of this year's line up on Saturday 3rd October 2026!

Join a fun hands on Cooking for Community Workshop, 2:30pm-6pm, helping to whip up the delicious menu for the Community Dinner that follows.

Come along to a Pay-what-can Community Dinner, 6pm-10pm, and enjoy a fabulous feast to mark the end of this year’s festival.

Don’t forget we are holding an in-person meeting at the Stroud Trinity Rooms Community Hub NEXT Wednesday, the 2nd September, from 6pm to 7.30pm where all are invited to come meet with us, share your views, make suggestions, or/and get involved with making a plan regarding Stroudco’s potential place within the current climate challenges and rising prices where Community is likely to need a network that connects eaters and buyers with local food producers and when that need arises it might be urgent.
