A big thank you from the ESA. This years Gnome hunt has been a huge success. The very small committee sat in the classroom after last years hunt and challenged ourselves to make it bigger and better. And that we did!
There are so many people we would like to thank, but first of all we need to thank our sponsors, without them we would not be able to run an event anywhere near the scale we do. Especially to Peter Joy who went above and beyond as our main sponsor this year!
A thank you to the committee and their families, who give so much to make events like this possible. The countless walking of the village, counting money, shopping, giving up so much of their time, giving up their homes to store everything, countless emails, networking and general late night panic WhatsApp messaging, it doesn’t go unnoticed.
A big thank you to Stephanie, who has taken over our social media, made countless gnome displays and done various other behind the scenes jobs to support the ESA.
A big thank you to Mrs Jones and the school staff and Governors who have given up their time to volunteer at the event.
To the school families who have helped us make displays this year and volunteered time to help we are very grateful to you.
To the amazing Lucy at Tescos Stroud who really backed our event, kindly donated to the event and even donated her whole Saturday to join us.
To Shae at Stroud Bowling who couldn’t have championed our event any more, he really embraced the community ethos and will hopefully link up with the school in the near future.
To our food vendors and coffee vendors who kept us all fed and watered.
To the face painters who relentlessly painted the most beautiful faces of happy children.
To generous family members who funded games, donated prizes and bought stock so the ESA could benefit from the sales this weekend.
And a final thank you to Eastcombe for allowing those pesky Gnomes to descend upon you for the whole weekend. It always means a lot that you embrace the Gnome Hunt weekend!
