We are sad to announce that James Beecher is leaving his role at Creative Sustainability as Access Bike Project Manager, and we thank him for his dedication over the last 3.5 years.
James says: “It’s been a pleasure to meet so many people interested in bikes and cycling over my years here. I have so many memories, especially of the wonderful moments of seeing someone take away a bike they might not have had access to otherwise. Selling second-hand bikes to people has often been great, but it’s been a real joy seeing the pride young people have in bikes they’ve built or earned themselves. It’s also been a pleasure to help young people learn mechanic skills, and see them go on to use these to support other young people, build their confidence and achieve all sorts of goals”.
James has successfully promoted the project and our organisation throughout his time with us - increasing our social media following and producing some fabulous photographic and video content - helping to give young people a voice in local and even national media coverage.
We thank James for his commitment and passion for Access Bike and all that he has achieved with us. We wish James the very best in his future endeavours.
