Not all stories of delays caused by the pandemic are sad ones, as proved by this joyful double baby naming I led a few weeks ago. The original naming ceremony for Kaiden, was planned for the summer of 2020, which of course had to be postponed due to the Covid 19 outbreak. We rescheduled for June [.....

Well this sounds exciting.......

How many times as an Independent Celebrant or Humanist Celebrant in England and Wales, have you been asked if your wedding ceremonies are legal??

Wouldn't it be amazing if you could proudly answer YES!!!

And what's stopping that???

An outdated marriage act dating back nearly 200 years!!!! There have been a few amendments along the way since 1836, but not nearly enough to reflect the needs and wants of couples today.

Tomorrow we have something to share with all Celebrants that are eager to see a change in our industry that will keep us inline with our fellow Celebrants in the Channel Islands, Scotland and Ireland.

"My now-husband and I hired Christina back in 2018 for a 2020 wedding. Unfortunately, it was postponed a couple of times, but we finally had our day in July 2021 and it was perfect.

Christina wrote a lovely service for us which was rooted in celebrating love and friendship, exactly the type of service we wanted.
