🌍⚽ World Cup Fun Afternoon! ⚽🌍

Come along and join us for a bright, lively afternoon at Stenness Hall, open to everyone- all ages, all interests, football fan or not!

📅 Sunday 21 June
🕑 2–4pm

We’ll have crafts, games, refreshments, and a raffle - plenty to keep the bairns entertained, the grown‑ups chatting, and anyone who just fancies a cheerful afternoon out. Expect a friendly buzz, lots of colour, and a wee bit of World Cup excitement.

💙 Free entry for all ages - donations welcome

Pop in for a quick visit or stay for the whole afternoon- you’ll be warmly welcomed either way.

Let’s make it a fun, upbeat celebration for the whole community! ⚽🌟

Join us for a wonderful evening of food, music, and laughter at the
Stenness Over 60’s Meal and Entertainment Night.

The evening will begin with entertainment from the school bairns, followed by dinner (choice of Roast Beef or Vegetarian Lasagne) and then dance to music by Murray Cowie.

Orkney Folk Festival 2026

Saturday 23 May at 8pm in Stenness Hall

Fresh from their debut BBC Radio Scotland Take the Floor session in early 2025, Rory Matheson and his Scottish Dance Band have burst onto the scene with a fresh sound firmly rooted in the West Coast, Highland traditions of where Rory calls home.

He’s joined by Tom Orr on piano, Rory Grindlay on drums, Pàdruig Moireasdan on second accordion, and Orkney’s own Kristan Harvey on fiddle.

Together, they bring an energy and lift that will get even the most reluctant dancer on their feet!

🌟 Amazing News for Stenness Outdoor Community Space! 🌟

We’re absolutely delighted to share that Phase 3 - the Polycrub- is now fully funded! 🎉🌱

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us so far, and to our funders for making this possible:
✅️ £12,000 from the Orkney Fund
✅️ £10,737.99 from the OIC Crown Estate Community Led Development Fund (CECLDF)
✅️ Approx £4,000 from our fundraising

This is a massive milestone for the project and brings us another step closer to creating a fantastic intergenerational growing space for the community. 💚

We’re very excited to move ahead, and we hope to have the work completed by the end of August.

Thank you all for your continued support- onwards to Phase 4! 🙌✨
