There are serious questions to answer about the long-term future of the former Minor Injuries Unit at Altrincham Hospital.

Labour closed it. The Tories have no plan.

The Liberal Democrats want to see it reopened as a Diagnostic Centre, so local people can get tests, checks and scans closer to home instead of having to travel to Wythenshawe Hospital.

That would mean better access to healthcare locally and less pressure on Wythenshawe, where A&E waiting times are already under huge strain.

Stretford Library is hosting a fantastic author talk from local crime author Michael Knaggs, author of the "Hotel St Kilda" series and "The Moorstone", on Saturday 28th March (4.30pm - 6pm)

This talk will discuss Michael's journey to becoming a writer and also task attendees with helping to solve the mystery posed at the beginning of his latest book, "The Moorstone".
