A Little Notice for Our Neighbours

On behalf of the bride and groom, we just wanted to let our neighbours know that they will be celebrating their wedding at Lonach Hall this Saturday.

As part of the celebrations, there will be a short fireworks display at approximately 10:00pm. The display is being provided by NJE Fireworks Displays, and a full risk assessment has been completed.

The fireworks will not include any long-burning or hanging-effect fireworks, and every effort will be made to ensure the display is carried out safely and considerately.

We appreciate that fireworks can sometimes come as a surprise, particularly to animals, so we wanted to give everyone advance notice.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you’ll join us in wishing the happy couple all the very best for their special day!

A message from our Ordinary President-

The excitement is certainly building here in Strathdon as Bellabeg Park begins to take shape and we make the final preparations for what promises to be another fantastic Lonach Gathering.

After many months of planning, organising and hard work, we’re almost ready to welcome everyone back to on Saturday.

As Ordinary President, I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who gives their time, energy and support to make the games possible. From our members and volunteers to our sponsors, dram hosts, competitors, traders, officials and everyone working away behind the scenes it really is a tremendous team effort, and one that I’m incredibly proud to be part of.

There’s still plenty to do over the next few days, but we’re looking forward to seeing Bellabeg Park come alive once again and welcoming you all to the 2026 Lonach Games.

I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday as I march into the arena with the rest of the Lonach Highlanders!

We need 2 volunteers this Lonach Weekend! 🥓🍳🥯

Fancy being part of the Lonach Weekend buzz while helping out at the Lonach Hall breakfast roll stand?

We’re looking for two volunteers to join us for a couple of hours:

📅Sunday 23rd August | 10am–1pm

📍 The Clubby, Strathdon (opposite Bellabeg Spar)

No cooking required — just a bit of serving, chatting and enjoying the atmosphere. It’s a nice chance to meet up with other folk from the community, lend a hand and enjoy a very tasty bacon roll on us! 🥓😉

The Ting Jing School of Tai Chi is starting a new beginners’ Tai Chi class at The Lonach Hall.
