Our scouts are enjoying taking part in JOTA-JOTI

This weekend our scouts took part in Operation Bald Eagle. A challenging competition camp involving the Friday Night Challenge, Lots of challenge bases on the Saturday day time and a challenging 5 hour incident night hike. They absolutely smashed it winning the Friday Night Challenge, The Day challenge Shield, one of the night bases and 2nd place overall out of 65 teams competing. They were also one of only 8 teams to complete the full incident hike. So proud of you all.

Our scouts had a great time aboard Tuptonia Narrowboat - Girl Guiding last weekend. The scouts learnt how to steer the boat and operate the locks.

We just wanted to say a big thank you to Lifestyle Fitness Areyoureadytococo Paisley at 106 Hartlebury Castle Sugar & Victoria Kidderminster Harriers FC and supporters of our group for donating some fantastic raffle prizes for our group fundraising quiz evening last night. We had a great evening and raised some much needed funds for the group.

🔵 WE NEED YOUR BLUE TOKENS! 🔵

We’re delighted to be back in the Tesco Stronger Starts vote, raising funds towards a new minibus for 16th Wyre Forest (St Michaels) Scout Group! 🚐⚜️

But this time, we really need our community to get behind us!

We’ve joined the current vote halfway through the voting period after another organisation dropped out. The other projects have therefore had a head start, and we’ve got some catching up to do! 💙

Voting runs until the end of November, so every blue token really does matter.

🚐 And this minibus isn’t just for us.

While it will help our Scouts access more camps, activities and adventures, our aim is for the minibus to become a resource that can also benefit other local youth and community groups across Wyre Forest.

Transport can be one of the biggest costs when organising trips and activities. Having our own minibus will help us reduce those costs, offer more places to young people and make adventures more accessible to families – while also giving other local groups the opportunity to access affordable community transport.

So when you put a token in our box, you’re not just supporting our Scout Group – you’re helping us create something that can benefit the wider Wyre Forest community too. 💙

🛒 You can vote for us at:

📍 Cookley Kidderminster Express – DY10 3SA
📍 Kidderminster Superstore – DY11 6SW
📍 Foley Park Express – DY11 7BQ
📍 Spennells Kidderminster Express – DY10 4DZ
📍 Bewdley Load Street Express – DY12 2AW
📍 Bewdley Hill Kidderminster Express – DY11 6BS
📍 Kidderminster Comberton Hill Express – DY10 1QG
📍 Stourport Superstore – DY13 9FB
📍 Stourbridge Road Express – DY10 2PR

💙 Please remember us every time you shop!

Pick up your blue Stronger Starts token at the till and pop it into the 16th Wyre Forest (St Michaels) Scout Group box.

And please help us make up for our late start by sharing this post with friends, family, neighbours, colleagues and other local community groups.

Every token gets us another step closer to putting our new community minibus on the road! 🚐

Summer Camp ‘26, you were epic.

Our young people looking fantastic as Minions & Monsters in Stourport Town Carnival today. We had a great time.

03/09/2026

🎉As Carnival is nearly upon us, we wanted to highlight some of the incredible people who help to make it happen; the volunteers, performers and local legends who will be with us on Saturday, getting into Carnival spirit and supporting the Stourport community. 🎉

Our next ‘Carnival Heroes’ are the young people and volunteers from 16th Wyre Forest (St Michaels) Scout Group. Based in the heart of Stourport, the group provides fun, adventure and opportunities for local young people aged 4–18, from Squirrels right through to Explorers. 🐿️⚜️

They’ll be joining us for this year’s Carnival Parade, embracing a Minions & Monsters theme with plenty of costumes, colour and Scout spirit! 👹💛 Keep an eye out for them in the parade and give them a big cheer as they make their way through Stourport!
The group is always happy to welcome new young people and adult volunteers. Whether it’s trying something new, making friends, learning skills or giving something back to the local community, Scouts offers everyone a place to belong. ⚜️

Proudly sponsored by Wyre Forest District Council, Barratt Homes and Worcester Road Motors
