Imagine helping a young person light their first campfire, conquer a challenge, or make a lifelong friend. As our new Cub Team Leader at Scouts 16th Wyre Forest (St Michael's), you can make moments like this happen every week.

You don't need special skills - just enthusiasm and a passion for support young people. We'll give you training, guidance and a supportive team.

You'll help create a programme full of adventure: games, activities, challenges, camps, community projects and plenty of laughter.

We know how busy you already are so flexible volunteering opportunities are available, allowing you to give however much time you can spare.

If you're curious, even just a little, we'd love to talk.

St Mike’s had an amazing day at the Cardboard Canoe Challenge day run by

We built canoes out of cardboard, paddle boarded, canoed, kayaked, power-boated & had a great time.

To top it off, one of our teams won but all managed to build a floating craft that supported at least one member of their team. Proud of the team work, effort and fun you brought to the day… even Mitton the Mascot enjoyed himself ⚜️🦥⚜️

🚐 Community Minibus Project – We Need Your Feedback! 🚐

16th Wyre Forest Scout Group is exploring the purchase of a lightweight 17-seat accessible minibus, complete with a disabled access ramp, to support not only our own young people but potentially other local youth and community groups too.

We know that affordable and accessible transport can be a real challenge for many organisations, so we’re trying to understand whether there is wider demand within the local community for this type of vehicle.

They did it! Silver DofE Expedition done ✔️

Both teams finished strong and with amazing attitudes. The leaders are all extremely proud of our young people’s achievements this weekend, you should all be proud of yourselves.

Rest up, create those reports and then it’s onto Gold!

Day two for our Explorers on their Silver Duke of Edinburgh and Platinum Expedition.

Despite the weather, spirits are high, legs are holding up and they are having fun!

Scout Exploration complete!

These guys did an amazing job, confidently navigating public transport to the Motor Museum in Coventry, the British Motor Museum in Gaydon and had great fun on the journey.

The leaders are really proud of them all for the hard work they put into planning and achieving their goals this weekend.

Expedition and Exploration weekend for the St. Mike’s Scouts and Explorers!

Two teams of Explorers are off in the wilds of Shropshire doing their Silver Duke of Edinburgh and Platinum Expedition.

Scouts are off on an Exploration on self planned public transportation to Coventry to do some investigating of all things transport.
