Ashfield House have had their first BBQ of the summer season. Staff and some of the people we support enjoyed lots of tasty goodies, listened to some wonderful music, and shared lots of laughter all while snacking in the sunshine - however, the washing up afterwards wasn’t as fun! ☀️🌭🎶🥤

T.A.E stands for Together, Everyone, Always! 🤝 We love working together because that is what Co-production is all about 👏🏼 We work with Camphill as a TEAM to make the service better, we also work with other external groups to help improve our local community as well 🗺️ Our Co-production group ensures the people who use our services are at the face of decision making, ensuring those who decisions impacts are a part of the process T.E.A🫶🏼

Today is - a reminder that talking about mental health matters. 🗨️

People with learning disabilities are more likely to experience mental health difficulties, but it can be harder for them to get the support, understanding, or diagnosis they need. Traditional therapies or resources aren’t always accessible, and conversations about mental health aren’t always easy to start.

That’s why it’s so important to keep talking about health inequalities and to make mental health conversations accessible for everyone. A simple "how are you?", really listening and taking time to make conversations about mental health accessible through approaches like short, open questions, visual aids and hands-on activities can all make a positive difference.

At Camphill Village Trust, we support adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health support needs in communities across England. Every day, we bring people and nature together through social care, creative activities and welcoming community spaces. The nature‑based care we offer is all about wellbeing, inside and out. Research shows that spending time in nature can positively support mental and emotional health. Community is at the heart of who we do, too, creating more opportunity for conversations about mental health 💚

How do you like to spend your Sunday evening? We like to spend ours getting together for GAMES NIGHT!! Some of us come together to play different board games, have a chat and a laugh then of course eat sweet treats! What a perfect way to spend our Sundays, getting us ready to welcome a new week of possibilities 💪🏼🎲♟️

German Market 2025- Some of the people we support and staff went along to visit Birmingham’s German Christmas Market! Everyone had a great time walking round the stalls and even going on a ride! What a way to get us into the Christmas spirit! 🎄🎄

So who are we?

Camphill Village Trust is a UK charity and adult social care provider supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health support needs to lead a life of opportunity.

For over 70 years, we’ve provided high-quality Supported Living and meaningful activities that promote choice, independence and wellbeing. Through our innovative Nature-based Therapies and Skills Programmes, we connect people to the land, to each other, and to their potential.

Here at our Stourbridge Community We own a number of properties. Most are one bedroomed self-contained flats or bedsits. We also have some two-bedroomed flats and some houses where the people we support choose to live together. The support we offer focuses upon the individual living as independently as possible within the community.

Just outside the town centre we have a large organic garden called Ashfield Gardens. Here we offer fantastic opportunities for training and work experience in horticulture and animal husbandry.

We also provide a regulated supported living service and is home to the Trust’s only residential care home, Ashfield House.

Across Stourbridge community and our Shared Lives service, we support a total of 124 adults with additional and complex needs, mainly learning disability, autistic spectrum disorder and mental health support needs.
