We’ve been running daily Zoom sessions for our community members since March last year, with sessions on mental health and wellbeing, cooking, culture, music and much more.

We’re proud to announce 🎉 that from next Monday 18th January, Opportunity TV will be open to everyone, whether you are supported by the Trust or not, and all sessions are free of charge!

Hello lovely community!

Harriet will be running creative dance online for the next 6 weeks- THURSDAYS 930AM-1030AM.

If you have a 4-10 year old who loves to move get in touch with Harriet.

This class will be lots of fun, burn energy and develop their kinaesthetic and spacial awareness, as well as giving them a safe space to connect with other children and be creative.

All they will need is a room with some small floor space, some paper and crayons and clothes they can move in.

Classes are on zoom and are £5 drop in or book the 6 weeks for £25. ***If you would like to get you child involved but have no income at present please feel free to send harriet a message she would be very happy to offer a spot to your child***.

Harriet has been working with children for the last 6 years she holds a full DBS check.

Thursday mornings 9.30-10.30am. I have missed this class so much and cannot wait to run it again, on zoom is going to be interesting!!

During creative dance we play, we move, we explore, we create and develop ideas, its a space to be heard, seen and to move freely. Harriet is a dancer, yoga teacher and somatic movement educator- these sessions are specially designed to develop spatial and kinaesthetic awareness whilst encouraging imaginative play and collaboration.

Hello!

The team at the hive hope you are all staying safe and well at this time.

We are brewing up ideas about an online hive community hub!

We would like to offer a space where we can all reconnect, drink tea, bake bread/cakes, 'share' lunch. With some craft workshops, creative dance, drawing through the wonderful and new world of zoom!

We recognise that people are at home a lot more these days and having to isolate alone and/or with children and that can be a lot to manage... as well as trying to work and stay sane! So we would like to offer, in collaboration with you, a community space such as the one we so beautifully shared physically at the hive, only with a little difference!

If you have ideas, wants or wishes or maybe you have something to offer too we would love to hear from you.

We recognise the need for shared support and connection at this time and hope that we can build back the community connections that we know are strong in the stourbridge area.

Have you seen this?

A whole range of online sessions - they don't cost cash, instead you barter - it's organised by a collaboration of organisations in Dudley, Wolverhampton and Birmingham who are all doing really interesting and exciting work in their communities.

I'll be signing up for "The Development of Culture", and I know a few dogs whose grown-ups could do with "Intro to reshaping your dog's brain through games" 😆, but I'm really tempted by a kind of cook-along "How to make pakoras" 😉 Yum Yum!!

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to reach out and say hi! how are you all? how is everyone coping with this very strange scenario we all find ourselves in? We'd love to hear from you...

We have been thinking back to this time last year, we were busily trying to prepare for the summer at the hive. And what a summer we all had. We miss everyone and we miss the space to share.

We are currently trying to brew up some ideas around how (under the current climate) we can reconnect this year , share a project/space/ideas and obviously some tea and cake 🤣🙏🏽.

More than ever, it feels important for us all to have some space to connect, explore and play after so much isolation and separation...if you have any ideas that have been brewing feel free to drop us a message.

But for now here is a short film Liz made, showing just a snippet of our summer buzzing around the hive.
