❤️ Stourbridge Comes Together ❤️

A huge shoutout to Nationwide Building Society – Stourbridge Branch for going above and beyond to support those affected by the recent Stourbridge fires.

Thanks to the fantastic efforts of Meg and the team, their incredible cake bake sale has raised over £250 and counting, with 100% of proceeds going towards supporting the victims of the fires. 👏

Although the cake bake sale has now come to an end, the support doesn’t have to! If you would still like to help, cash donations are continuing to be accepted at the cash counter within the Stourbridge branch for anyone who wishes to contribute.

A massive THANK YOU to Meg and the whole team for your kindness, generosity and dedication, and to every single person who has donated so far. ❤️

It’s moments like this that truly showcase what an amazing and caring community we have here in Stourbridge. When people come together, even small acts of kindness can make a huge difference.

The future of Dudley Borough is being planned, and your business has the chance to influence it.

has launched the first consultation on the new Dudley Borough Local Plan, which will shape future housing, employment, transport, infrastructure and investment across the borough until 2045.

This is your opportunity to help shape decisions that could impact Stourbridge town centre, local businesses and the wider borough for years to come.

✨ Supporting Stourbridge Businesses to Grow & Thrive ✨

At Stourbridge BID, we’re passionate about supporting local businesses and helping them reach their full potential.

Working in partnership with Good2Great and fully funded by , we delivered a free one-to-one business coaching and training programme through Good2Great’s High Street Boost initiative.

Rosemary's Treats & Sweets shared:
"The coaching support we received through the programme was of an excellent standard, delivered with great professionalism and a clear understanding of the challenges faced by independent businesses. The guidance provided helped us identify areas for improvement, particularly around merchandising and the importance of offering flexible payment options for customers.

We have already started to see positive improvements within the business as a result of the advice and practical support received. The sessions provided valuable insight, ideas and confidence to help us continue developing and improving our customer experience.

We would like to thank Stourbridge BID for the opportunity and for connecting us with Good2Great.

The support has been extremely beneficial, and we would encourage other local businesses to take advantage of similar opportunities."

The one-to-one support from Good2Great provided practical advice and fresh ideas that will benefit our business going forward. We're grateful to Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council for funding this initiative and to Stourbridge BID for making the opportunity available to local businesses.

It was a pleasure to meet Tina, whose extensive retail knowledge and experience made the sessions both valuable and enjoyable. She took the time to understand our business and provided practical ideas to help increase footfall, including introducing new offers and events.

Tina also highlighted the importance of being more active on social media and shared useful tips for enhancing the overall customer experience. We found the support extremely beneficial and would recommend the programme to other local businesses."

💡 17 businesses across the Stourbridge BID area benefited from tailored coaching, practical advice and guidance to help identify opportunities, improve performance and support future growth.

The programme supported a fantastic mix of businesses, from start-ups and independents to long-established companies, with personalised support across:

✨ Business development
✨ Increasing footfall

A huge thank you to all the businesses who took part and invested time in developing their future.

It has been amazing to witness first-hand the immense and overwhelming response from businesses, both within and outside the Stourbridge BID area.

A massive thank you goes out to everyone in our community, from local schools and businesses to members of the public who have rallied together at such a difficult time. It truly showcases the strength of the Stourbridge community and the incredible support people are willing to give when it is needed most.

It goes without saying that our sincere thanks also go to our combined emergency services and the 100+ firefighters who have worked tirelessly to tackle the blaze in unprecedented and challenging conditions.

Thank you also to Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (DMBC) for its quick response and for helping to pull together and provide support when it was needed most.

Most importantly, our sincere thoughts are with everyone affected by the fire.

West Midlands Fire Service is currently assessing the situation at the site and will advise when it is safe for people to enter and exit the area.
