Group Activities from Volunteering Hebrides. Everyone needs other people, but not everyone has someone.

For people who become isolated because of ill health, disability or social disadvantage, being matched with a befriender often fills a big gap. Befriending involves providing a way for people to have more social contact through matching them with a suitable befriender. Contact can be once a week or once a fortnight and meetings are usually informal and arranged to suit both of you. It may involve

meeting someone in their home, going on outings or social events. The results of befriending can be very significant. Befriending often provides people with a new direction in life, opens up a range of activities and leads to increased self-esteem and self confidence.

Who loves board games? You do!!

🎲 Great “Lunch n Games” fortnightly on a Friday is for you!

Join us for a free light lunch and a fun afternoon of board games. We have a varied selection from Scrabble, to Jenga, to Chess to Uno and many many more.

You are most welcome to come along for a relaxed friendly afternoon, watch out as we can get competitive at times 😁

🐝Come along, have a lovely sociable afternoon at our Queen Bees ladies’ group. You will have the chance to chat, share hobbies, interests, favorite recipes, some crafting time and play quizzes/games together.
