🩡 Keeping Caleb and his family in Our thoughts and Prayers 🩡

Everyone at Crossroads Lewis is deeply saddened to hear of little Caleb's diagnosis.

Many of you will know Calebs dad, Andrew 'Mowgli', who recently took part in a fundraising run for Crossroads Lewis. Caleb is also the beloved grandson of our Manager, Chrisell.

At just two years old, Caleb is bravely undergoing treatment for stage 4 neuroblastoma at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh.

As a Crossroads family, we would like to ask our community to keep Caleb, his parents, Andrew and Eilidh, his sister Isla and the whole family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

We are sending them all our love, strength and hope and praying that Caleb responds well to his treatment. πŸ©΅πŸ™πŸΌ

Free Church Moderator, Rev Calum Iain Macleod, has shared this urgent prayer request:

I would like to reach out to our wider church family with an urgent prayer request for Caleb, a very sick little boy aged two who has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer (Neuroblastoma).

Caleb’s parents are Rev Andrew and Eilidh Macleod. Andrew (Mowgli) is minister of New City Church Dunfermline.

Some of you are already aware of Caleb’s circumstances following an earlier appeal for prayer from Rev Derek Lamont, a friend and colleague of Andrew.

Caleb is currently having chemotherapy and is receiving critical care at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children and Young People, Edinburgh.

Please pray for Caleb and encourage others to prayer. Pray for effective medical intervention. Pray for recovery and healing. Pray for strength and resilience for Andrew and Eilidh, along with Isla, Caleb’s big sister, at this extremely difficult and anxious time for them all as a family. Pray that they will continue to know God’s near presence, his peace, and the embrace of his everlasting arms.

Please consider having a concentrated time of prayer for Caleb at your midweek prayer meeting and congregational prayer groups.

What can we say.....we're overwhelmed. 🩡

To our amazing Butt To Barra cyclists - THANK YOU!! You have done something truly incredible and your determination, resilence and commitment have been truly inspiring and will make a lasting difference to the carers and families we support. We couldn't be more grateful.

A heartfelt THANK YOU also to ALL the fantastic organisers, support crew and volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the event such a success year on year.

We are honoured and incredibly grateful to have been chosen as one of the beneficiary charities alongside Bethesda. The generosity shown through your donations and support has been nothing short of incredible and we can't thank you enough.

πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ Best of luck to all of our Butt to Barra cyclists as you set off tomorrow! πŸŽ‰
Months of training have led to this… now all that’s left is a 100 plus miles, a few sore legs, and hopefully not too many midges! πŸ˜…
We’re keeping everything crossed that the weather gets the memo and behaves itself…..tailwinds only, sunshine on tap, and absolutely no sideways Hebridean rain! πŸ€žβ˜€οΈπŸŒ¬οΈ
Ride safe, enjoy every mile (even the tough ones!) and remember… every pedal stroke is bringing you one step closer to Barra.
We’ll be cheering you on all the way.
You’ve got this! πŸ’™πŸš΄πŸ‘

πŸŽ–οΈπŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈCarmen takes on LONDON MARATHON for CROSSROADS LEWISπŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸŽ–οΈ

*πŸ—£οΈ* Sunday 26 April. London Marathon day...at last it arrived. A (very) warm London day and I was among a record breaking 59900 crown taking to the streets to run 26.2 miles round the capital city. The crowds were unbelievable, lining pretty much every inch of the route. My favourite parts were the Cutty Sark (where my 'support crew' were), Tower Bridge (oh, my, the noise from the crowd) and approaching Buckingham Palace (because the end was SO close)! Crossing the finish line I was rewarded with a pretty impressive medal, hard work and graft over (hooray).
I was delighted to be able to finish, not just for me but for Crossroads Lewis, as this was my small part in raising funds to support the work they do locally. A small 'pay-back' for their recent support to my mum and the wider family. *πŸ—£οΈ*

🩡 Everyone at Crossroads Lewis........would like to say a huge thank to Carmen for choosing to support our charity. Your determination and incredible effort is hugely appreciated. CONGRATULATIONS on an outstanding achievement!! 🩡

We are absolutely overwhelmed and so incredibly grateful to Harris Tweed Hebrides for this amazing donation!

To raise such a fantastic amount is truly incredible, and it will make such a huge difference to the people and families we support across our community. Thank you so much for your generosity and for choosing to support both Crossroads Lewis and Bethesda Hospice.

And of course, we are so proud to be associated with you and the rich heritage of Harris Tweed, a true symbol of our islands, crafted with skill, tradition and heart. It’s not just fabric; it’s our history and identity, and we love seeing that same passion and commitment extend to supporting local causes.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! 🩡
