A huge thank you to the incredible Butt To Barra team, who have raised over £50,000 for Bethesda and Crossroads 🤩

On Saturday night, we were incredibly grateful to receive cheques with an amazing total of £30,044. This fantastic amount will make a real difference to Bethesda Hospice.

A massive well done to everyone who took part, supported the event and helped make this fundraising possible. We are so grateful to you all for your incredible efforts and generosity 🚲❤️

OPPORTUNITY FOR A CATERING ASSISTANT

We are currently recruiting a Catering Assistant to join a small team at Bethesda. Previous experience of catering would be an advantage however not essential.

The Catering Assistant will help ensure food hygiene, cleanliness, and excellent customer service while promoting residents' dignity, choice, and well-being.

The successful candidate would be a team player, be keen to learn and be flexible in their approach. 25 hours minimum contract, with annual leave and sickness cover occasionally required.

The post is subject to a P.V.G. check.

Half a million pounds over 10 years is an incredible amount of money and has made a massive difference to Bethesda Hospice!

Point and Sandwick Trust continue to support the community in so many ways, and to donate this fantastic sum of over £500,000 to Bethesda Hospice is amazingly generous. This money has made a huge contribution to our costs, allowing Bethesda Hospice to continue to provide this specialist, palliative care to anyone in our Community who needs it, completely free of charge to them. 😍

Join Our Team at Bethesda Care Home & Hospice
Bethesda Care Home & Hospice is seeking a reliable, practical, and caring Handyperson/Gardener to help maintain our buildings and beautiful outdoor spaces. This is an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our residents, patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
• Carry out general maintenance and repair work throughout the care home and hospice.
• Perform routine safety checks and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain the gardens, lawns, flower beds, hedges, and outdoor areas to a high standard.
• Ensure pathways, entrances, and outdoor spaces are clean, tidy, and safe.
• Undertake painting, decorating, basic plumbing, carpentry, and minor electrical maintenance (where competent).
• Assist with setting up rooms and moving furniture and equipment as required.
• Liaise with external contractors and oversee their work when necessary.
• Maintain maintenance records and ensure work is completed in line with health and safety requirements.
• Support emergency maintenance needs as they arise.
• Contribute to creating a pleasant, dignified environment for everyone using our services.

What an amazing challenge these guys have all completed! 😍 👏

We are so grateful to all of them that they choose to take time from their busy lives to do this each year. It is a huge commitment and they do it with the sole purpose of raising much needed funds for local charities 🥰

Please continue to donate and support them! They have done the hard work so that the charities can benefit and continue to serve the community.
