York House Centre in Stony Stratford is the town's only publicly-owned community centre set in a Grade II Listed Building c1860 with substantial grounds. It's mission is "youth, community and the arts". We have a main hall (max 100 people) for hire plus various meeting rooms for clubs, social events, private parties, fundraising events, meetings & workshops (not-for profit and commercial). We also
have a sound-proofed rehearsal room suitable for band practices. The building hosts a wide variety of activities - art groups, keep-fit groups, yoga, pilates, tai chi, hobby groups, self-help groups etc. We also run 2 Youth Clubs, community drama classes for young people, a Community Gardens project and community arts projects such as the annual Stony Stratford Lantern Project and Big Draw events. We hold frequent music and comedy events, coffee mornings, and other fundraising events.
