Listen to that crunch! Can you believe something as small as a squirrel can get into something as hard as a hazelnut? They manage this by gnawing along natural seams or weak spots on the shell until they can get their teeth in and get to the treat inside

This young Tawny Owlet joined us from another wildlife rehabilitation facility. At Suffolk Owl Sanctuary, we are able to provide not only veterinary treatment, but the specialist facilities needed for growth, fitness, and flight development before eventual release back into the wild.

They are doing well and will soon be paired with another of our Tawny Owlet patients. Cases like this show the importance of collaboration in protecting and rehabilitating our native wildlife.

As a wildlife charity, we rely on your support to help care for owls and other raptors in need. Thank you for your continued support 🦉

It's never easy cleaning when it comes to Vultures. Not because they're messy, it's because they are super inquisitive! Never leave your bucket unattended unless you're planning to spend the whole day going in circles🪶

🌍 World Environment Day 2026 🌱

Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time. From rising temperatures to extreme weather events, the planet is sending us a clear message: we must act now.

Every small action matters. Together, we can build a greener and healthier future for generations to come. 💚

This adult Tawny Owl came into our Raptor Hospital after suffering from traumatic head and body injuries after colliding with a glass outbuilding. The force of the impact caused internal and external bleeding, and temporary damage to the right eye.

As a dedicated wildlife charity, we rely on public support to continue caring for the owls and other raptors that need us most. If you would like to help, please consider donating. Every contribution truly makes a difference.

Thank you for your continued support 🦉

Check out those teeth! Did you know that porcupines are part of the rodent family? This means they’re related to animals like the capybara and guinea pigs!

And just like any other rodent, their teeth are constantly growing. Luckily, we don’t need to book them a dentist appointment, but we help them keep this under control by providing logs and tough starchy vegetables. Look closely and you can see their teeth marks all over!
