We Need You. Our Beaver colony is thriving, and we desperately need a volunteer (or perhaps a couple of volunteers!) to step forward and take on the role of Beaver Leader.
Why should you become a Beaver Leader?
It's Fun! Seriously, it is! You get to be a big kid again, participate in exciting activities, and watch children discover the world around them.
It's so rewarding seeing the smiles on the children's faces, watching them learn new skills, and knowing you're making a positive impact on their lives is incredibly fulfilling.
It's a great way to give back to the community. You'll be contributing to a valuable organisation that helps children develop confidence, resilience, and teamwork skills.
We know what you might be thinking: "I don't have time," or "I don't know anything about Beavers!" But be reassured you, being a Beaver Leader isn't as daunting as it sounds, and it doesn't require a huge commitment. We meet every Tuesday (term time only) from 5:30 - 6:45 and have a well-established programme and plenty of resources to help you.
You would be part of a fantastic team that incorporates Young Leaders and Team members, who are incredibly supportive, and we also enjoy support from parents and other sections within our Group as well.
With a little planning and the support of the team, you could find it easier to fit around your other commitments than you first thought.
You'll learn new skills. Leadership, communication, and organisational skills will all be improved, which can be so beneficial in other areas of your life.
