We run supportive groups for those who would benefit from honest conversations in the early years of parenting.

We’re building a community around Home-Start Stroud and Gloucester, and you’re invited to be a part of it!

Could you give a family just two hours of your time a week as a volunteer?

Do you have any skills that could support the team as a Trustee or know anyone that would be perfect for the role?

🦋 We will be there to greet you and your little ones on Wednesday 19th August from 10am.

🦋 Children can enjoy crafts, toys and games.

This World Breastfeeding Week, we’re holding space for every journey. 🤍

For those currently breastfeeding, those reaching the end, those who wanted to but couldn’t, those who chose not to, and those carrying a mixture of pride, relief, sadness or everything in between.

There is no single version of motherhood, and feeding your baby is never a measure of how deeply you love them.

However your journey looked or continues to look you are doing an incredible job. 🤍

📣📣 Two of our wonderful mums came to Stonehouse train station to meet the judges of this years Stonehouse in Bloom bringing nature home gallery. They did an amazing job of sharing the stories behind their artwork.

🌸 Thank you to all the mums for their contributions but also to making the term a wonderful, kind and uplifting place to be.

Due to staffing changes, we will now be running our next term of MIMs from January 2027.

We are looking forward to more fun, warmth and peer support soon 💖

🌸 Home-Start Stroud and Gloucester have collaborated with to give children the chance to make instruments with natural objects whilst the parents get some time learning to connect with nature.

🌸 We have done this because NATURE IS FOR EVERYONE and the benefits of being outdoors are endless!

📣📣 Exciting opportunity! We’re looking for a Family Support Coordinator – Mental Health (Maternity Cover) to help shape support for mothers navigating perinatal mental health challenges.

📍 Stroud & Gloucester
⏰ 26 hours/week | 9–12 month contract
💰 £22,818 pa (£32,597 FTE)
🗓 Starting mid-September 2026

You’ll be:
• Leading our
Mothers in Mind perinatal mental health group programme
• Providing 1-to-1 practical & emotional support • Supervising and supporting our amazing volunteers
• Sharing mental health expertise across the wider team

We’re looking for someone with: Experience supporting families through mental health challenges, strong group facilitation skills, a trauma-informed
& strengths-based approach, and solid safeguarding knowledge.

📣📣 The wonderful mums at Mothers in Mind Group have been working hard on artwork for this years .

Their art will be displayed in Stonehouse train station within the next couple of weeks along with other community groups.

This years theme is 'Bringing nature home' and the mums focused on motherhood within themselves and the natural world.

More updates to come. We're so proud and impressed by their efforts 🎨!!
