We’re really enjoying our new journey with BP Scouts so far, packed full of exciting activities across all sections! 🌟
Our Squirrels have been busy exploring their local area, working together as a team and making the most of our community park. It’s been fantastic to see them building confidence while having fun outdoors.
The Beavers have had a great time playing Oulton Monopoly, exploring their local area and learning more about what’s around them. They’ve also been learning how to safely use flint and steel, even creating their own sparks 🔥
Our Cubs have been working hard towards their badges, showing independence by safely using flint and steel to make sparks, as well as developing and mastering their knot skills.
Our Scouts have been learning about the history of Baden Powell through a fun scavenger hunt quiz. They’ve also taken part in activities to decide their new patrols and patrol calls, showing teamwork and enthusiasm throughout.
This week, you might spot our Beavers out and about in Stone as they tackle the roads, learning the Green Cross Code, how to stay safe in the community, and the dangers to look out for. 🚗
Looking ahead, our Scouts have even more to look forward to, including an evening hike to Downs Bank where they’ll take part in a fun challenge capturing coloured flags, as well as an evening at Kibblestone researching different types of trees and learning about their burning properties.
We’re so proud of all our young people and can’t wait to see what they achieve next! 🙌
We hope they're having as much fun as us leaders 🫣
