🌟 Adventure Starts Here! Join Us This September! 🌟

As our summer term comes to an end, we're getting ready for another exciting year of adventure and we'd love for your child to be part of it!

We currently have a few spaces available in our Squirrel section for children aged 4–6 years. We meet every Friday at 5:20pm at Oulton Village Hall, near Stone.

We also run Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts on the same evening and at the same location, making it ideal for families with siblings.

From the very beginning, your child will enjoy exciting, hands-on activities including:
πŸ•οΈ Camping
πŸ”₯ Bushcraft
πŸͺ΅ Campfire cooking
πŸ”ͺ Knife skills (age appropriate)
⛑️ First aid
🧭 Outdoor adventures
🀝 Team challenges
🎯 Games, badges, and so much more!

As they grow through the sections, the adventures grow too, helping them build confidence, independence, friendships, and skills for life.

We pride ourselves on being a fully inclusive Scout Group, welcoming everyone and supporting each young person to achieve their best. Our programme is all about learning through doing, having fun, and making memories that last a lifetime.

πŸ“© If you'd like to find out more or reserve a place for September, send us a message or email [email protected] we'd love to welcome you to our Scouting family!

Last night our Squirrels and Beavers made the most of the warm weather with a fun filled evening of water games! πŸ’¦β˜€οΈ

They had an amazing time racing down the water slide, cooling off with reusable water pom-poms, and enjoying plenty of laughs together.

It was fantastic to see everyone showing great teamwork, encouraging one another, and making lots of happy memories. A brilliant evening was had by all! 🌈😊

🌟 Everyone is Welcome at Oulton Baden-Powell Scout Group 🌟

At our Scout Group, we believe that every young person deserves the chance to learn, grow, make friends, and enjoy adventure in a safe and supportive environment.

We are proud to be a fully inclusive Scout Group. All of our leaders have received training in diversity, inclusion, and supporting young people with disabilities. In addition, many of our leaders work professionally with children and young people who have disabilities and additional needs, bringing valuable experience, understanding, and compassion to our Scout Group.

Our meeting place is fully accessible, and we'll always do our very best to make reasonable adjustments so that everyone can feel included, valued, and able to enjoy everything Scouting has to offer.

If you're unsure whether Scouting is the right fit for your child, please get in touch. We'd be happy to chat about their individual needs and how we can support them.

Together, we can help every young person gain skills for life. πŸ’šβšœοΈ

What a fantastic weekend for our Scouts at camp!

They took on the challenge of doing everything for themselves, including preparing and cooking all of their own meals. They built a wash stand, pitched their own tents, looked after all of their kit, and packed everything away before heading home.

The Scouts also enjoyed building and going rafting, completed lots of team challenges, and learnt a range of useful knots along the way.

It was a weekend full of adventure, teamwork, resilience, and new skills. Well done to everyone for their hard work and enthusiasm!

Last week, some of our Scouts headed over to the wonderful Kibblestone International Scout Campsite for an evening of outdoor adventure!

They used leaves to identify different tree species, learned fascinating facts about each one, and discovered why these trees are so important to our environment.

Everyone worked brilliantly together, showed fantastic teamwork, and had a great night exploring the outdoors. Well done, Scouts!

πŸš”πŸš¨ What an awesome evening for our Squirrels and Beavers! πŸš¨πŸš”

Last night we were lucky enough to have our local PCSO, Neil, come along and spend the evening with both our Squirrels and Beavers.

Neil told everyone all about what it's like to be a police officer and how the police help keep our community safe. The young people were full of questions and loved finding out more about the job.

Then came the exciting part... exploring the police car! πŸš“ They had a look in the boot at some of the equipment officers carry, including traffic cones, a first aid kit and even the big red key used to get through locked doors in an emergency.

Everyone loved seeing the blue lights flashing and hearing the three different sirens, while learning why each one is used. There were plenty of excited faces as they tried on police hats and protective vests before climbing into the police car and taking turns pressing the button to switch the blue lights on and off! 🀩

Our Beavers were especially pleased to see Neil again after meeting him a few weeks ago during our community litter pick, it was lovely to welcome him back.

The fun didn't stop there! After the visit, the Beavers had a go at axe throwing πŸͺ“. They all did a fantastic job, had loads of fun, and have already asked when they can do it again!

A huge thank you to Neil for taking the time to visit us and helping create such a fun, memorable evening. We really appreciate your support! πŸ’™πŸš”
