Celebrating Pride in Peer Support Groups 🧡🌈

"We celebrated the beginning of Pride month during our peer support group last week. We watched a lovely short film on BBC Bitesize to help us understand why we celebrate Pride.

We then celebrated our individuality on a jigsaw piece and then made one big jigsaw to show that despite our differences, we can fit together as one big community."

-Louise A.G, one of our wellbeing practitioners at Stay Well Staffordshire

Our Peer Support Groups are a wonderful place to bring young people together, providing them a sense of belonging and community, making friends along the way.

Think you or another young person would benefit from our Peer Support Groups? Check us out or make a referral to our service via the link in our bio!

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈

This month runs from 1st - 30th June and is all about celebrating the culture and history of the LGBTQ+ community.

Did you know that nearly a quarter of young people experiencing homelessness identify as LGBTQIA+? This rate is often caused by family rejection and a critical lack of inclusive environments.

For adults looking to learn more about how to support young people within the LGBTQ+ community, our free online training session 'LGBTQ+ Awareness' takes place on:

Mon 29th June for those in Stoke-on-Trent ()
Fri 19th June for those in Staffordshire ()
