Unfortunately it's not the full amount but the Park will get some upgrade π
π³ Ball Green and Milton park bids π³
Last week, following a FOI to the City Council I was able to confirm that we would be receiving Pride in Place infrastructure funding for our two parks.
Labour run Stoke-on-Trent City Council had not shared details with any non Labour councillor so I didnβt have any specifics until today π‘
π Ball Green park- will be receiving Β£9000
π Milton park - will be receiving Β£1000
Needless to say this is substantially less than we bid for. On top of the decision to deny our Β£20 million Pride in Place bid this does come as a frustration.
π£οΈ I have had a couple of residents get in touch to ask who decides which bids get funded, and what funding they get. π is the make up of the board.
β
I will not drop the fight for better facilities for our local area, and I will be submitting a question to full council to ensure that as part of the city wide review of the parks, all of our parks are supported.
Iβll also continue to work with the Ball Green Residents Association, Blooming Ball Green and all residents to make the case to protect our green space and improve our villages π
I will post more details and updates on my page when I have them.
Cheers
Dave
