What is the Community Board?

Asist Co-Production and Staffordshire Disability, Sensory and Neurodiversity Community Board (previously known as the Disability and Neurodiversity Partnership Board) are working together with people in Staffordshire.

We work with a wide range of people who have learning disabilities, mental health issues, physical disabilities and sensory needs to find out what living with a disability feels like. This is on behalf of Staffordshire County Council to help the local authority to understand the experience of people with disabilities accessing available services.

This website is for sharing information and finding out about people with disabilities being part of the community in Staffordshire.​​

We’re out and about across Staffordshire this week offering FREE NHS Health Checks! 🩺✨

Knowing your numbers is a great first step towards looking after your health and wellbeing. ❤️

📍 We’ll be visiting a range of community venues throughout the week, making it easier for you to access a health check closer to home.

✅ Are you eligible for a FREE NHS Health Check?

You may be eligible if you:

💗 Are aged 40–74 years

💜 Live in Staffordshire or have a Staffordshire GP

💙 Have not had an NHS Health Check in the last 5 years

💚 Do not have certain pre-existing conditions, such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease, diagnosed high blood pressure or high cholesterol.

🩺 A health check takes around 20–30 minutes and can help identify your risk of developing conditions such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease.
