The Dove Service

The Dove Service We offer counselling, training & support for those affected by grief through bereavement, significant loss or life-changing illness.

We are able to provide support to clients within S-O-T, North Staffordshire & parts of South Cheshire. Death and loss are so often sanitised or avoided in today's society, but the work we do is vital as death and loss inevitably touch each and every one of our lives. Sometimes when illness or bereavement occurs it can seem almost impossible to move on. WE CAN HELP PEOPLE MOVE FORWARD WITH HOPE. We

work with individual adults, children, young people, couples, families, part families and people of all abilities. Anyone can benefit from our services, when and where needed. We have specific projects tailored to the needs of children, young people and those with learning disabilities. We also conduct research into loss and are at the forefront of new techniques to help people address loss. Last year we provided 11,500 counselling sessions to 1,963 clients but there are many more people who we could help. Much of our work is funded but there are significant numbers of people who our funding does not allow us to reach, particularly children in the 4-10 age group.

Thanks to funding from Crewe Town Council, we continue to offer free 1-to-1 counselling in Crewe at Millcroft Medical Centre for people who have experienced:

• Bereavement
• A life-changing illness or diagnosis
• Loss

If you’re struggling to cope, you don’t have to face it alone. Our counselling service provides a safe, confidential space where you can talk through your experiences and receive support.

We’re proud to announce a new project dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by sepsis-related loss which has been funded by the aiM Charity

Through 1 to 1 counselling and monthly group support; Project aiM is to create a safe and compassionate space for people navigating grief after losing a loved one to Sepsis.

No-one should have to face this journey alone.
