Number 11

Number 11 The Number 11 centre is here to provide holistic, sustainable and relationship based support.

The Number 11 centre is a lifeline for individuals in our community struggling with a variety of issues, from difficulties with debt and benefits through to social isolation and loneliness, unemployment or mental ill-health. We believe it's not just programmes and services which change lives, it's relationship. We take a person-centred approach, looking at the whole picture of each individual’s ne

eds. Number 11 is a family, so in addition to our activities, workshops or one-to-one support, we eat, play, share and do life together. We believe in getting deeper into the underlying causes of issues to help our clients see sustainable change, moving from a place where they are stuck to a place of independence.

🌟 MEET THE VOLUNTEER TEAM – ISOBEL 🌟
Today we're delighted to introduce the wonderful Isobel, one of our amazing volunteers here at Number 11! πŸ’š
Isobel plays a key role in supporting our members by taking part in discussions, helping to serve lunch and wash up, and getting involved with arts and crafts activities. πŸŽ¨β˜•
Her favourite part of volunteering is hearing members' views and experiences during discussions and chatting with everyone about what they're doing. She says, "I love being part of Number 11!" πŸ’¬β€οΈ
When she's not volunteering, Isobel enjoys reading, listening to music, seeing live bands, exploring new places and going for walks. πŸ“šπŸŽΆπŸ₯Ύ
🍫 Favourite snack? A Crunchie or a Bounty!
🚁 Fun fact: Isobel once fell 200 feet down a mountain and was rescued by the RAF in a Sea King helicopter – now that's a story to tell!
Thank you, Isobel, for your kindness, dedication and the warmth you bring to Number 11. We're so grateful to have you as part of our volunteer team. πŸ’šβœ¨

Today’s workshop with Julie focused on the importance of sleep hygiene πŸŒ™βœ¨ We explored simple but effective ways to improve our sleep, from adjusting how dark our rooms are to creating a calm and relaxing bedtime environment.

In the afternoon, we got creative and made our own lavender sleep bagsβ€”perfect for helping us unwind and drift off more peacefully πŸ’œπŸ˜΄

A lovely day of learning, relaxing, and self-care!

πŸ’š World Mental Health Day 2025 πŸ’š
Theme: Access to Services – Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies

Here are a few gentle reminders for today:
🀝 Reach out for support β€” you are not alone.
🌿 Take small steps to care for your mind β€” rest, breathe, and be kind to yourself.
πŸ’‘ Check in on others β€” sometimes a simple message can mean everything.

✨ Our motto at Number 11: β€œIf it’s grey, stay away. If it’s bright, hold on tight.” 🌈

A reminder to protect your peace and cherish the moments that lift you up.

Let’s stand together for mental wellbeing β€” today and every day.
