Our theme for this years scarecrow competition is ROYALTY 👑 This doesn’t have to be Kings and Queens this can also be musical royalty, TV royalty etc.

We will be doing paper entry forms like normal but we also have done an online entry form this year that you can access here:

This year we will be having a tug of war competition for kids and adults.

This will begin at 17:15 in our arena. Children’s teams will need 10 participants and Adult’s teams will need 8 participants.

The winning team overall will receive a trophy!

🌼 CALL OUT FOR VOLUNTEERS – Brown Edge Well Dressing 2026 🌼

Would you like to be part of one of Brown Edge's most cherished traditions?

We're looking for volunteers to help create our Well Dressing 2026 boards. Whether you're an experienced well dresser or completely new to it, we'd love to welcome you along!

🎨 Help decorate the well boards between 4th–11th July 2026

👋 Newcomers are very welcome

🗓 Workshop & Claying-Up Session 📍 The Top Pub Brown Edge ⏰ Saturday 4th July, 12pm–2pm

Come along, have a go at claying up the boards, meet the team, and find out how the well dressing is created. No experience needed!

It was a pleasure for us to recently visit St Anne's C.E. Primary School, Brown Edge, to lead an assembly on Brown Edge Carnival & Well Dressing 2026.

Queen Evie has been a fantastic St Anne's Church Queen over the last year, and incoming Queen Theadora is looking forward to an exciting year ahead.

Congratulations to Eleanor (1st), Isaac (2nd) and Oliver (3rd) in the Brown Edge Well Dressing Design Competition. The children's designs on the theme of 'Positive Role Models' were outstanding, and choosing the winners was no easy task!

Well done to all who entered, and thank you for your creativity and enthusiasm. 👏🎉👏
