Sea Cadets is a UK-based national youth charity that offers nautical adventure and life skills training to young people aged 10-18. Inspired by the traditions of the Royal Navy, it provides a platform for young people to develop confidence, leadership, and teamwork skills through various activities both on and off the water. Key aspects of the Sea Cadets:
Nautical Adventure:
Sea Cadets engage in a
range of activities like sailing, kayaking, rowing, and other water-based pursuits, as well as learning about seamanship and naval traditions. Life Skills Development:
Beyond the nautical focus, Sea Cadets fosters personal development, teaching valuable skills like leadership, teamwork, and communication. National Charity:
The organization is a major youth charity with over 400 units across the UK and over 14,000 cadets. Locally we are a registered micro charity (522729) registered with the charities commission that has been in the city over 80 years and we have a committed group of adults that help to show our young cadets what they can achieve and they also fundraise to support the building, it’s vehicles and boats. Adults can help in many ways from donating your time by helping to fill out fundraising forms, looking after the building or its boats and vehicles. If you would like to help support us then please get in touch. We currently have Junior Sea Cadets, Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets all in the same building. If your looking for something different and are aged over ten then please do get in touch and arrange a visit.
