Dougie Mac provides hospice services to adults, young adults and children living with a life-limiting illness in North Staffordshire and the surrounding villages; also offering supportive care for their families and carers. We help people living with cancer and non-cancer illnesses including advanced heart failure, motor neurone disease and incurable lung diseases. We endeavour to go that extra mile to provide a warm, friendly and peaceful environment both at the hospice and in a families own homes. We are committed to expanding and improving our services, always striving to deliver the very best quality of care to meet the ever-changing needs of the local community. We are proud of to offer a broad spectrum of specialist palliative and end of life care for all ages. With the help of our supporters we aim to help patients to achieve the very best quality of life.

We are very proud to support Hospice Care Week; an annual event organised by Hospice UK to celebrate hospice care around the country. 🌻

Ruby accessed our Children’s Services before transitioning to Dougie Mac’s Young Adults Service, where our staff are able to provide help, support and respite care.

Mum Alison said: “This ongoing support has made a world of difference to our family, ensuring we never feel alone in navigating Ruby’s care. I can rest knowing Ruby is cared for by staff who know her well and genuinely enjoy her company.”

We’ve made it quicker and easier to access our support. Patients, family members, carers and loved ones can submit a referral 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without needing to wait for a healthcare professional to make a referral.
