So we used our skills learnt last week with the twisting and sculpting of the wire to create a beautiful wirework flower wreath this week at Blythe Centre Creative Crafts 4 All group.

It's been a learning curve for us all but to just have a try at something new is good for the mind and so we think you have all done amazing 🥰.

We've been bending, twisting, curling and straightening at Blythe Centre Creative Crafts4All group this week and no we've not been learning a new dance routine or yoga move!

It's 'Wirework Art' for the month of June for our ladies this month. A craft that hasn't been done before and one that is new to us all.

The wire being used is an easy to bend aluminium wire, finished in gold, silver, black or copper and in two different gauges. We are using templates of various different designs, flowers, cupcakes, cutlery, hearts etc just to get us used to working with this medium, learning to control the pliers, manipulating the wire into the shapes required etc.

For the first attempt for many...everyone has done amazingly well? As they say practise makes perfect so by the end of the month we should have some amazing pieces of art.

Do you fancy having a go at wirework art too...then please do join us...Every Tuesday...10am till 12pm...its only £2 including a drink too and we've always got biscuits or cakes!

As one craft project comes to a close another one is closely behind waiting to be started but let's just show some appreciation for the wonderful creativeness of the ladies at Blythe Centre Creative Crafts 4 All group this week.

Our 'Kinusaiga' projects have been an absolute pleasure to work on and everyone looks like they have enjoyed every minute of them.

We've had so many different designs and ways of doing this project that it truly has been a wonderful group effort with lots of helping each other, giving each other tips and tricks and just overall being so supportive with each other. Although its a totally new craft to every member, we're sure it won't be the last time it is visited.

You've all absolutely excelled with your Kinusaiga projects...and we're really proud of each and everyone of you...well done ❤️.

So as we said, another new craft is on the horizon so keep coming back for what's in store with the group this month!

We've been so busy gallivanting around the world that we haven't had the time to share with you all the wonderful pieces that have been created by a few members of our group here at Blythe Centre Creative Crafts4All.

The months of April and May saw us start off in Greece and end up in India and both of those two countries with their rich histories, beautiful but very different architecture and different cultures have inspired some fabulous creations.

We've got everything from the Greek Holiday cocktails to the Indian Tuc Tuc Taxi's (when you've had a few cheeky pop's 🤭), the beautiful blue roofed buildings in Greece to the Taj Mahal in India and certainly not forgetting the beautifully decorated human hands and feet with the Henna but also the Indian Elephants too.

These few pieces are really making our display board in the library come to life and are making us all feel like an adventure or two!

Next time you are in the library just take a look for yourself and see if you can recognise each country ❤️.

Our 'Kinusaiga' projects are well underway and the quality of them all is amazing. Not one person has done this craft before but everyone has really embraced it and it shows too! Actually, the whole group have been as quiet as a mouse so that tells you something!

The designs are so varied from balloons to butterflies, sunsets and seahorses but I think you can all agree that everyone is doing an amazing job and is definitely a craft that will be revisited time and time again.

Well done to everyone...keep up the excellent work ❤️.

So this week we've started a new craft project here at Blythe Centre Crafts 4 All group and one that we've never done before and nor has anyone tried it before...a bit of blind leading the blind but hey how good is it to learn something new altogether ❤️?

Our new project for the next few weeks is....

'KINUSAIGA'

Never heard of it? Well let us tell you more....

Kinusaiga is a contemporary Japanese art form that was developed during the 1980's. It involves creating intricate fabric collages by pressing fabric scraps into pre-cut grooves on a foam board, resulting in textured, layered artworks without the need for sewing. This technique offers a tactile and visually rich alternative to conventional quilting or embroidery....and it's so much fun!

So we started with researching our designs and began drawing them out and relaying them onto our foam boards. We've got some great ideas so we're sure they'll look amazing as we progress through this new craft.

As one month ends and another begins so does our craft project here at Blythe Centre Creative Crafts 4 All group.

The ladies have almost completed their wonderful bespoke, handmade and hand designed fabric Tote Bags.

We've had some amazing designs and creative ideas from everyone, from giraffes and cute little fairies, to beautiful flowers and butterflies...they've all been fabulous and so uniquely wonderful. Your shopping trips are going to be so much better with your personalised bags ❤️.

Well done to everyone that has excelled themselves with their fabric painting...looking forward to our next month's project!

Tuesday can only mean one thing.....its Crafty Tuesday's here at Blythe Centre!

Today will be a finishing off kind of day today with these already amazing looking fabric painted Tote Bags. Everyone's designs are so unique and one of a kind that everyone else will want one!

The fabric painting is coming on nicely don't you think?

So last week's craft group Blythe Centre Crafts 4 All saw the fabric paints being put to good use with some wonderful designs and patterns. These Tote Bags are going to look fabulous ladies when they are all finished.

There will be more of this to come today as its Tuesday again and Tuesday means only one thing....Crafting Day!

Why not come down and join us if you have a couple of hours to spend on just you...go on you know you want to!
