Whoโ€™s this giggly fool?
Oh itโ€™s me and one of my favourite memories from the first Operation: Bearded Wanderer - walking over the Avonmouth bridge. Yes thatโ€™s the M5 next to me!!!

Out of all of my adventures so far, Day Two of the first Operation: Bearded Wanderer was probably one of the most difficult!

It was the first time Iโ€™d suffered with my knees โ˜น๏ธ

Thankfully, even with this The X Factor type sob story video, support was phenomenal and I went on to complete the ๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ, by improvising some elements of the trip. However, my โ€˜๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จโ€™ still haunts me a little bit!

The first adventure began - Cornwall bound and the start of 300 miles!

A fabulous day with a great friend but whoโ€™d have thought that this would lead to two more major ๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ๐˜ด?!?

Thank you for all of the continued support and love โค๏ธ

I see you.
Taking the hand of an anxious child, guiding them into class.

I see you.
Writing a card, sending it to a bereaved family.

I see you.
Speaking soothing words to a parent, calming their concerns.

I see you.
Making a colleague a coffee, raising their spirits.

I see you.
Asking a friend if they are OK, guessing that they are not.

I see you.
Crying hot tears on the way home, feeling worthless.

I see you.
Waking at 3 in the morning, panicking about life.

I see you.
Checking and rechecking, calming your anxiety.

I see you.
Seeing only the dark clouds, never the rainbow.

I see you.
Struggling to cope with life, thinking you are fine.

I see you.

Are you OK?

It's OK not to be OK.

It's OK to ask for help.

Knowing the challenges of long walks far too well, Iโ€™m sooooo proud of my amazing cousins and friends for smashing the Cotswolds Mighty Hike for Macmillan Cancer Support

Iโ€™m sure our Vicky was there with you too โค๏ธ

Well done on raising ยฃ4,200 in Vickyโ€™s memory but Iโ€™m hoping that my followers can spare a few pennies to help raise that total to support those living with and affected by cancer please follow the link ๐Ÿค

Not posted in a little while, so hereโ€™s a little vlog for your enjoyment.

Zara training and me strolling, definitely not stomping!!

And as much as itโ€™s a blag on her part with no data; me driving her is cheaper than the train and uberโ€ฆ.

After 5 fantastic years, it's time for me to say goodbye to Davies.

It's been a journey filled with challenges, opportunities and the chance to work with some truly brilliant people. I've had the privilege of leading and delivering projects across Cyber Security, M&A, Infrastructure and Business Transformation. But more importantly, I've had the opportunity to learn from and work alongside colleagues who have shaped me both professionally and personally.

To everyone I've worked with, collaborated with, challenged and been challenged by, I thank you. The relationships, experiences and lessons will stay with me long after I've logged off for the final time.

While this chapter is closing, I'm excited to see what comes next and to take everything I've learned with me into my next adventure.

A special thank you must also go to The Davies Foundation.
Operation: Bearded Wanderer simply would never have happened without their support, encouragement and belief in my vision. What started as a personal challenge became something far greater and I'm incredibly grateful that the Foundation helped make THREE epic charity stomps a reality.

Thank you for backing adventures that created memories, opportunities and experiences that will stay with me forever. Let alone raising much needed funds for some amazing charities along the way!

Well today marks the One Year Anniversary of the completion of Operation: Bearded Wanderer skip to my Lou. The end of a 300 mile stomp from Glasgow to Stoke.

To reflect that and Zara starting back to training, I managed to get out for a rather warm short stomp tonight. Just 2.75 miles but itโ€™s a start, hopefully also the start of losing the stone Iโ€™ve put on since last year!

Keep smiling peeps
