Join us at our next Local Youth Network meeting ๐ฃ
Do you work with young people or families in Chell, Chell Heath or Fegg Hayes? Weโd love you to join us.
Our Local Youth Network, part of our Locally Trusted Youth Organisation project, brings schools, the council and community organisations together to share ideas and join up our work. No single organisation can do it all, but by working together we can make sure every young person and family gets the right support.
At our last meeting, we were joined by local organisations to focus on developing a community marketing, communication and signposting strategy to improve awareness of local services, support and events. Take a look at a few things we talked about:
โ
Building on what already works, like face-to-face conversations and word of mouth
โ
Sharing information through school assemblies, newsletters and digital screens
โ
Promoting holiday activities and each otherโs events together
โ
Tailoring information for young people, parents and carers, and professionals
โ
Reaching less engaged families, with clear, easy-to-read information
โ
Preparing for the under-16 social media ban
โ
Giving young people a voice, through youth ambassadors and a youth council
๐
Next meeting: Thursday 10th December, 10am to 11:30am (location to be confirmed)
