Jail or Bail 2026

On 2nd October, a group of brave fundraisers were arrested by our Sheriff and challenged to raise their bail money in order to secure their release!

A huge thank you to Paul from DJH, Russ & Lee from Scope Automotive Limited, Becky from Cakeface Designs and Bev Hartley from Alice Charity for being such great sports and throwing themselves into the challenge. Thanks also to everyone who donated and supported them throughout the day.

Together, they raised an incredible £4,538.75!

The money raised will help Alice Charity continue supporting local children and families across Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme, ensuring we can continue providing vital services to those who need them most.

Well done to our fundraising fugitives, and thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Jail or Bail such a fantastic success!

A huge thank you to JMT Accountancy Limited Bookkeeping and Payroll Services got hosting us.

A first look at our new Community Garden Project!

Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund and the incredible support of our volunteers, community groups, and corporate partners, an unused space is being transformed into a welcoming garden for local people to enjoy.

Over September and October, this space has been transformed thanks to a truly incredible team effort. We'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported the project so far, whether by volunteering their time, sharing their skills, donating resources, or helping behind the scenes. Every contribution has played a part in bringing this vision to life.

We'd also like to extend our thanks Willmott Dixon construction, LA International, Premier Foods, Vodafone UK, EPIC Limited and Hanley Economic Building Society, who have worked alongside our volunteers to help make this transformation possible.

There's still plenty to do before our official opening next year, including installing polytunnels, putting water butts in place, adding signage, completing the barbecue area and preparing the beds ready for planting.

Take a look at the before and after photos and see how far we've come already!

Arrests have been made, charges have been filed, and bail has been set. Now it's up to you...

Will you help this rowdy bunch raise their bail money and get home in time for tea? Or will you leave them at the mercy of the Sheriff and let him throw away the key?

Every pound donated will help Alice Charity continue making a real difference to the lives of local children and families across Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme.
