Today, we were contacted by West Midlands Ambulance Service to let us know that the bleed kits we placed in the city have been used and have helped save lives.
This is the best news, but also the worst news.
The best news because the equipment was there when it was needed and has helped give someone a chance to survive. The worst news because it means another person has become a victim of violence and another family has faced unimaginable fear and heartbreak.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragic knife-related incidents that have taken place in Longton, Hartshill, Belfast, Manchester, and communities across the UK. We also remember Henry and the many other victims whose lives have been lost to knife crime.
The heartbreaking reality is that stabbings are happening far too often. Every day, families and communities are left devastated by violence. It has to stop.
As a knife crime prevention charity, these tragedies only strengthen our determination to continue the fight against knife crime. We will never stop working to educate, raise awareness, support communities, and provide life-saving equipment where it is needed most.
The fact that our bleed kits have already been used to save lives shows exactly why this work matters. Every event we organise helps us raise funds to replace used kits and maintain the life-saving equipment in our bleed kit boxes, ensuring they are there when someone desperately needs them.
To everyone who already supports us – thank you. Your generosity, time, donations, and encouragement allow us to continue making a real difference in our communities.
There are many ways you can help:
🔹 Event Volunteers – help us set up, manage, and pack down our events.
🔹 Volunteer Chefs – support our community projects and fundraising activities.
🔹 Volunteer Mascots – join us at events, engage with families, and help spread our message in a fun and positive way.
🔹 Knife Sweep Volunteers – help us make our streets safer by assisting with organised knife sweep initiatives to remove dangerous weapons from our communities.
🔹 Financial Donations – every donation helps us fund and replace life-saving bleed kits and equipment.
Please share this post and help us reach more people. Together, we can raise awareness, save lives, and create safer communities for everyone.
We believe we can.
We believe we will.
We believe we can make a difference.
