Castle Classics returns to Newcastle-under-Lyme on Saturday 24 October, and I’m already counting down.

From 10am to 3pm, Ironmarket and High Street will be lined with vehicles spanning the decades right up to 2004, from ’50s beauties to ’90s icons. Organised by Newcastle-under-Lyme BID, it’s free to wander round and always a cracking day out. 6 Towns Radio will be there with tunes all day, and we have lots of competitions and prizes!

So, who’s coming along? And more importantly, who’s bringing a car?

I’m planning to bring Florence, if I can unstick her accelerator pedal before then. If you see a mk2 Golf being towed down the High Street, do come and say hello. 🤣

We are also nominated ourselves in the “Community Connector of the Year” category. Wish us luck. 🍀

We're asking the big question today - What is the best way to cut (and eat) a sandwich? Rectangle or Triangle?

It's the same filling and same bread, but you can make and break a sandwich by the way you cut it... don't ask us how, it's science 🧪

It’s been a busy day at Port Vale FC as they’ve announced Micky Moore as the club’s new sporting director.

Join Jonny, Bez and Amos from Ale and the Vale Podcast for “Behind the Scoreboard” from 7pm tonight as they discuss the appointment, and what it means for Vale on and off the pitch.

There’s also an interview with Jon Palmer from Gloucestershire Live discussing Micky Moore’s time with Cheltenham Town FC.

All this, and probably an Elvis Presley song too.
