On Wednesday, some of our team took part in CPR training led by Cliff from the West Midlands Ambulance Service (Officialwmas).

They learned how to carry out CPR, use a defibrillator and respond in an emergency with a bleed control kit. It was a really informative session, and our team gained a lot from it.

We are now exploring the possibility of running another session so tenants can benefit from this training too.

Transform Communities Staffordshire run a great youth club at the Bentilee Neighbourhood Centre every Friday, 4.40 – 6pm.

It's a welcoming space for young people aged 7–14 to relax and try something new. There is plenty to get involved with, from pool, darts and table tennis to arts and crafts, football and board games ⚽ 🖌

Young people can also get involved in preparing hot food with the support of staff 👍

We’re excited to share our new charity of the year – Stoke Thrive at Five, chosen by our staff and tenants.

Stoke Thrive at Five supports parents and carers of young children, helping them find and access the support they need. Their team works out in the community, delivering support in a way that works for each individual, offering friendly, practical help. They already support families in Abbey Hulton and Bentilee, with plans to expand into Meir and Burslem.

Over the next year, we’ll be supporting them through fundraising and by signposting tenants to their services.

We’re looking forward to working together and making a real difference in our communities 💚

We’ve had reports of door knockers offering grass cutting services.

Just a quick reminder that EPIC uses grounds maintenance company Cropper for all garden work.

Cropper staff are easy to spot:
✅ Orange high vis t-shirts with the Cropper logo
✅ Vans clearly showing the Cropper branding

If you’re unsure about anyone calling at your door, please don’t feel pressured to agree to anything. If you have any concerns or want to double check, feel free to get in touch with us.

We held our latest tenant engagement event on the evening of Wednesday 13 May 2026, at St Stephen’s Church in Bentilee. The session was attended by 8 tenants, alongside members of the EPIC team, and EPIC Board Members Dave Newmarch and Jemma Richards, creating a valuable opportunity for open discussion and collaboration.

The agenda covered a range of important topics, including company performance for 2025–26, complaints and compliments over the past year and upcoming tenant engagement opportunities. The event provided tenants with a clear overview of performance and priorities, as well as a platform to raise questions and share their views directly with staff and leadership.

Attendees enjoyed a complimentary chippy tea, contributing to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Feedback on the evening was positive, with tenants highlighting how useful they found both the presentation and the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation.

Our next Community Voice event will take place on Saturday 8 August at the Normacot Grange Community Centre in Meir. Keep an eye out on our website and socials for more information nearer the time!

Can you believe it’s been a year since the Big Centenary Tea Party?

As we mark Stoke-on-Trent Day, it’s a great opportunity to look back at the moments that brought communities together across the city.

If you’re in Hanley this week, take a look at the exhibition at Stoke Minster on Friday 5 June and Saturday 6 June and relive some of those memories.

Have you seen our window display? 📚

We’ve been getting involved with Stoke 100 Reads by creating a colourful window display celebrating some of the city’s favourite children’s books – all chosen by the community.

It’s a great way to spark conversations about reading and inspire a love of books for all ages. Next time you’re passing, take a look and see how many titles you recognise! 👀

Let’s keep Stoke reading 💙
