Dear Residents,
Thank you for backing the campaign for a proper green space at Brooklands Park. There was a great turnout on the 19th November at Crests feedback event which demonstrated residents feel strongly about this topic.

Crest are still collecting feedback as they prepare their planning application. This is a crucial moment. Your voice matters.

Please take a few minutes to submit your feedback online and shape our communities future.
‼️You have until 28 November to submit your feedback via the below link‼️

https://www.eohsbristol.co.uk/land-at-harry-stoke-road/

Key points you may wish to Include
The land was from the start designated for community use only — with zero residential buildings — as per the original 2006 plan.

We want a high-quality MUGA:
🌳Minimum size 20m x 40m
🌳Located next to the community centre for combined indoor/outdoor activity
🌳Positioned next to the green space so families can easily use both
🌳Designed with input from local young people
We need a significantly larger green space that functions as a true community park — suitable for gatherings, picnics, informal sports, walks, and connection with nature. The current proposal is far too small.

We request three separate planning applications:
I. Nursery – long promised and should proceed quickly
II. MUGA – co-designed with residents, including youth
III. Green Space – shaped with input from wider resident groups and aligned with green-space policy.
Thank you for your continued support! Your input now can directly influence the future of this space.

Let’s make sure our community’s needs are heard. 🙌🏼

Dear Residents,
‼️URGENT CALL for Action‼️
Thank you for backing the campaign for a proper green space at Brooklands Park.
Crest Nicholson has now released its draft plan for the site (see link below).

While it includes a MUGA and reintroduces a nursery (previously under separate planning application), it also includes up to 50 houses and allocates only a very small green area. Therefore it fails far short of what this petition calls for. ☹️

The developer is currently collecting feedback as they prepare their planning application. This is a crucial moment. Your voice matters.
🚨Take action now 🚨
1. Attend the public drop-in session:
19 November 2025, 15:30–18:30
Crest Nicholson Office, Highbrook View, Kilby Road, Stoke Gifford, BS34 8QF

2. Submit your feedback online (14–28 November):
https://www.eohsbristol.co.uk/land-at-harry-stoke-road/

(This link includes more details on the proposals and the development timeline, with planning submission expected Spring 2026.)

If you can, do both — attend on the 19th and complete the online form.

🚨IMPORTANT - Proposal for Green Space and Multi use Games Area (MUGA) please attend 🚨

‼️ If you want this to become a reality then please attend the consultation being held by the developer. See details below otherwise we will just end up with more houses and no amenities‼️

The residents association have been campaigning for a green space and multi use games area where Crest Nicholson intend build more houses. This is essential for our community’s wellbeing and lies next to the new Community Centre and planned nursery — the perfect location for a shared public green space.

We made a video with voices from the community which was circulated to the council and crest about what it’s like to live in Brooklands - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1x_zja1ZMST8v3C_e9fCYFnSXOckg_51I/view?usp=drivesdk

In response to the work we have been doing Crest are planning an event on the 19 November 2025 between 3.30-6.30pm.

This is at the Highbrook View sales office on Kilby Road. Not the brooklands sales office.

We need as many of you as possible to show up at this event and support the green space. Hope to see you many of you there.

Kind Regards,

Lucy Crompton - For and on behalf of the Residents Association

Work starts today by our volunteers, the members of the RA to start the tree 🌳 survey to record dead, damaged and missing trees throughout the Brookland Park estate.

You may see us going round with a clipboard 📋 taking notes and completing the survey. The aim is to complete the survey of the whole estate in full by end of September so we can apply pressure on crest to replace the damaged trees during the next planting season in October.
