🌅✨ What a fantastic couple of dusk walks at RSPB Saltholme!

We spotted a wonderful variety of species and were treated to spectacular starling murmurations on BOTH nights – the perfect way to end an evening on the reserve! 🐦‍⬛💫

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made both walks so special. 💚

🎉 Celebrating 30 years of the Landfill Communities Fund! 🎉

This month marks 30 years of the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) supporting green spaces and community places, and we're proud to celebrate the difference it has made here at RSPB Saltholme! 💚

From upgrades to our play area, helping families make lasting memories, to access improvements at the Dorman's Pool hide, making it easier for visitors to enjoy our wonderful wildlife, LCF-funded projects have helped make Saltholme a more welcoming place for everyone to connect with nature.🌳

We're incredibly thankful to the Landfill Communities Fund and Teesside Environmental Trust for helping make these projects possible and supporting our reserve and local community.

Here's to 30 years of making a difference to our green spaces and community places! 🥳

Step into a world of spooky stories, curious creations and Halloween magic at our enchanting Halloween event! Gather your little witches, wizards and brave explorers for a week packed with eerie adventures, mysterious discoveries and plenty of Halloween mischief.

🕷️ Halloween Crafts: Get creative with our Halloween-themed crafts. Make something wonderfully weird to take home and create your very own spooky masterpiece.

💀 Skeleton Hunt: Our skeletons have escaped and they’re causing mischief all around the site! Can you find them all and discover what they’re up to? Keep your eyes peeled as you explore—you never know where a cheeky skeleton might be hiding!

🌲 Spooky Trails: Are you brave enough to follow the trail? Venture out onto the reserve and discover what lurks along the way. Keep your eyes peeled for strange sights, unexpected surprises and plenty of Halloween fun!

🔮 Cabinet of Curiosities: Take a look at our mysterious Cabinet of Curiosities, filled with unusual objects, strange specimens and fascinating finds. Can you work out what they are and uncover the stories behind them?

📖 Spooky Storytelling: Our FREE event starting from Monday 26th October, settle in and listen to spine-tingling tales filled with ghosts, ghouls, witches and mysterious happenings. But beware… you never know what might appear from the shadows!

🕷️Pebble Painting on Monday 26th October! £3 per child, paint as many pebbles as you'd like in your time slot. Pre-booking is advised, but tickets can be purchased on the day - find them on our events page.

🎃Pumpkin Carving on Saturday 31st October! £5 per person. Must pre-book tickets - find them on our events page.

🐈‍⬛Come dressed in your favourite Halloween costume and prepare for a week of stories, crafts, mystery, skeletons and spooky surprises!
