What a fantastic day! 🐦🌿

Our guided walk with The Urban Birder, David Lindo, was a huge success, and we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who joined us.

A special thank you to David for visiting Saltholme, sharing his incredible knowledge, and helping to create such a memorable event. It was a pleasure to welcome him as part of the celebrations marking 20 years of The Urban Birder.

Missed the event? Don't worry! David is continuing his anniversary tour of RSPB and WWT reserves across the country, so there may still be a chance to catch him in action. Visit the RSPB website to find participating reserves and upcoming events.💙

Happy ! 🌿💙

They may not make the headlines, but salt marshes are true environmental heroes 🌊🌱

These thriving coastal wetlands provide vital habitat for wildlife, capture and store carbon, and act as natural buffers that help reduce flooding and coastal erosion.

Did you know? A restored saltmarsh in the UK can store more carbon in just four years than one million trees can in ten years 🌿🌳💚.

Here at RSPB Saltholme, our thriving saltmarshes provide a vital haven for wildlife, including avocets, lapwings, and seals 🦭✨.

Why not visit Greatham Creek and experience this remarkable habitat for yourself?
