I am incredibly thrilled and proud to announce that I have been appointed as the new Project Manager for the Methodist Asylum Project (MAP) Middlesbrough! 🎉

MAP is a fantastic Teesside charity that has been working tirelessly to welcome, support, and reduce isolation for those seeking asylum and refugees since 2002.

For the past several years, I have dedicated my time and heart to supporting refugees and asylum seekers right next door in Stockton-on-Tees. Through the grace and hard work of our dedicated teams, we successfully grew to support up to 150 individuals every single week.

Seeing 150 people find a safe haven, access basic needs, and build a sense of community has been the privilege of my life. But I know that the need doesn't stop at the Stockton border, and the heart beating for sanctuary across the entire Tees Valley of Sanctuary is stronger than ever.

To everyone who has supported my journey so far, thank you 👏🏽

I look forward to working with our dedicated staff and volunteers, local partners, and the wonderful people we serve to create even more opportunities for connection and integration here in the Tees Valley.

Thank you Jolene Rees for the clothes donation last Friday.

Last Friday we had a lovely gentleman who according to him was referred to us from Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council

He told us he had just moved into the area having been previously homeless and needed clothes etc, talk about perfect timing we had just received donation of men’s clothes dropped off by our very own Bill Williams👏🏽 This gentleman walked away with a bag full of very nice men’s clothes and he was very happy. This is the difference your donation is making to someone who has lost everything and is starting over.

So thank you to everyone who take their time to either drop off donations or give someone else to drop off, we appreciate you all👏🏽

Join us today for another session with hot food, tea and coffee etc😊

See you then!
