It's officially summer, which is our busiest period, and we're already seeing an increase in our missions.

Since Sunday our critical care teams based in the North East and Cumbria have responded to 28 incidents (including stand downs).

This includes:
❤️ 12 cardiac arrests
🚗 Six road traffic collisions
🩺 Three medical incidents
⚠️ Three falls
👊 Two assaults
😷 Two other

Well done to Elijah from Seaham who swam more than 14 miles to raise money for our charity 👏

He decided to support us after our critical care team came to the aid of his grandad in 2013 when he fell from a ladder.

Elijah was not born at the time, but his grandad has since told him about what happened and made him aware of the importance of raising money for our charity so we can continue to help save other people's lives.

It's Public Service Day, and we're taking a moment to celebrate and thank some the brilliant teams we're proud to work alongside.

From police services keeping scenes safe, to fire crews assisting with complex rescues, and ambulance teams delivering urgent care under pressure - the work they do is nothing short of exceptional.

And, working behind the scenes are the hospital teams, call handlers, dispatchers, and countless others, all playing vital roles in making sure patients get the right care at the right time.

We're incredibly proud to be part of such a strong, compassionate network of professionals. Their skill, commitment, and teamwork make a real difference every single day.
