Celebrating Community Impact at Our Grants Coffee Morning ☕

This morning we were delighted to welcome a small selection of organisations that we have supported through our 2026 grant funding round.

Our grants coffee morning provided an informal opportunity to network, share experiences and showcase the incredible work being delivered across our region by the voluntary and community sector.

We are proud to support initiatives that make such a meaningful difference within local communities.

Our sincere thanks to Michael Poole DL Vice Lord-Lietenant and Jonathan Brash MP for attending and for their continued support of the sector. Thanks also to Greggs for donating breakfast items.

🔥 Fire Cadet applications are now open for young people in Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9 - but be quick!

⏳ Deadline to apply: Friday 6 March 11:59pm

Cleveland Fire Brigade is inviting young people across Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees to join the free, fun Fire Cadets programme.

Cadets can:

🔥 Learn how the fire service works

👫 Make new friends

💪 Build confidence and skills

🌟 Get involved in activities that make a difference

📅 Starts: Wednesday 22 April 2026

📍 Location: Middlesbrough Community Fire Station, 115 Park Road South, Middlesbrough, TS5 6LG.

⏰ Weekly sessions: Wednesdays, 5pm–7pm (term time only)

🚗 Own transport needed

🥊 New FREE Community Boxing Sessions in Norton! 🥊

A fantastic opportunity for children to get active and learn new skills right here in our community.

Evolve Sports Academy has launched a brand new boxing session at King Edwin School, delivered by trained coaches and professional boxer, Joe Maphosa!

It is a great way for young people to build discipline, fitness, and confidence in a safe environment.

There is no need to book—simply turn up to take part! All equipment and refreshments are provided. You will just need to fill out a consent form on the first visit.
