Norton Road has REOPENED at Newlands Avenue after collapsed sewer repairs

Buses have returned to serving the Norton Road corridor and the shuttle bus has now ended.

Thanks go to our local councillors who organised the shuttle bus for residents who would have been otherwise cut off from a service.

36/37/38 and 52 are now serving Norton Road as normal. The Service 35 has now returned to normal route and will serve Norton Grange. No other services will serve that area like previous.

Residents of Norton Road - Did you know there is currently a free shuttle?

Stockton Borough Council alongside Tees Valley combined authority are providing a free shuttle service between the former Pietros, Nisa Norton Road, Swainby Road and Tilery into Stockton Town.

There is no charge to board this minibus and it’s frequent. When the bus driver stopped, residents are stood at stops but waving him on thinking they have to pay

ITS FREE! This is the council helping to keep our communities from being isolated.

Celebrating Community Impact at Our Grants Coffee Morning ☕

This morning we were delighted to welcome a small selection of organisations that we have supported through our 2026 grant funding round.

Our grants coffee morning provided an informal opportunity to network, share experiences and showcase the incredible work being delivered across our region by the voluntary and community sector.

We are proud to support initiatives that make such a meaningful difference within local communities.

Our sincere thanks to Michael Poole DL Vice Lord-Lietenant and Jonathan Brash MP for attending and for their continued support of the sector. Thanks also to Greggs for donating breakfast items.
