Our latest news in Ingleby Together 💚

11/10/2026

Thank you to our 9 amazing volunteers who were litter picking around the centre of Ingleby Barwick on what was a gorgeous Sunday morning. There was a lot of litter around All Saints school and the leisure centre. We did what we could but obviously can’t get in behind fences and locked gates.

We collected 11 full bags of litter, 4 Nox canisters, a couple of footballs and several large random items abandoned by heaven knows who. All reported to CFYA for collection.

We got the opportunity to try out our fancy new winter jackets for size (massive thank you to Ingleby Barwick Town Council for the funding for these and some extra trollies) whilst we had a cuppa and piece of cake.

Next week we are back at Teesside Industrial Estate with neighbouring groups and staff from Hickory’s Smokehouse. Look out for more information later this week. Come and join us!

Massive thank you to the 8 volunteers who were out picking litter in various parts of Ingleby Barwick this morning. 9 bags of litter, 14 Nox canisters and some loose change. I picked up the McLitter that had probably been chucked from a moving vehicle on Myton Way. Kind of whoever it was to drop it so close to the path so I didn’t have to go onto the road. All reported to CFYA for collection tomorrow.

There was definite autumnal feel in the air this morning. First time I’ve had to deploy the waterproof in months. We managed to dodge the showers and enjoyed a cuppa and piece of cake afterwards. All in all a very satisfying morning.

No local litter pick next Sunday. Instead we are off to Port Clarence for the last mega pick of the year! Look out for details later this week.

Big THANK YOU to local resident, Adele, and her team from EE Darlington who had a great day litter picking in Ingleby Barwick last week. They filled 6 bags in total and were surprised by the amount of appreciation shown by members of the community. We are very grateful that you chose to use your company volunteering hours to help keep IB clean.
💚 THANK YOU 💚
