The lovely Trish is teaching us all things ‘Junk Journal’ on Tuesday 4th, 10-12. Here’s what we know so far:

“It’s your journal and can be anything you want.
Cut out pictures you like and keep them for inspiration. Fill it with your favourite things.
Save good memories or thoughts you have. Decorate each page as you like. Make a border for a favourite photo, make a pocket to hold cards and letters…”

Yesterday Karen Lofts from Active Financial Planners volunteered for us at Billingham foodbank. Karen was amazing. She picked up the tasks required immediately and was perfect backing for our Thursday front of house volunteers Marion and Barry Lennard (pictured). Karen spoke to clients as they arrived, deciphered their E-vouchers, fetched their food parcels and toiletries, packed food parcels, and generally supported us all.
Thank you so much to Jenny Williams from The Teesside Charity who has been organising a steady flow of volunteers from different organisations. Yesterday it was Active Financial Planners who released Karen from work to volunteer for us. The timing was great as some of our regular volunteers were either off ill or on holiday. Thank you Jenny and Karen. ☺️👏🙌 ###
