As our coaches take a well-earned break before three weeks of Summer Learn2Row sessions, it's the perfect time to reflect on what has been an incredible year for Infinity.
We've seen record numbers of young people taking part in our enrichment sessions (58 regulars!), while our Active athletes have grown in confidence week by week. By the final session of the season, every single one was rowing without floats β a fantastic achievement.
Our Junior Competition Squad has continued to develop, racing regularly and making outstanding progress throughout the season. Meanwhile, our Senior Competition Squad has competed at regattas across the country, from Glasgow to Eton, winning national medals, making club history and continuing to blaze a trail for future generations of Infinity rowers.
None of this would have been possible without the commitment, passion and dedication of our coaches β Olivia, Ellie, James, Andy, Georgia and Kelly β and the coaches who came before them, helping to build the foundations for everything we've achieved today.
We're also incredibly grateful for the support of Michelle, Richard, Matty and Peter; our school partners; Tees Active, especially the fantastic staff at Thornaby Pool; the parents and families of our amazing athletes; and our Board, whose encouragement, guidance and advice have been invaluable throughout the year.
Finally, a huge thank you to our funders β The Peel Family, Love Rowing, Tees Million, The Marin Foundation, Sport England, National Schools Regatta Charitable Trust and British Rowing. Your belief in our vision has enabled us to grow opportunities for young people, develop athletes of all abilities and achieve success both on and off the water.
Thank you to everyone who has played a part in such a memorable season. Here's to an exciting summer of Learn2Row sessions and an even bigger year ahead for Infinity!
