Today marks the start of Su***de Prevention Month.
In the North East, we lose more people to su***de than almost anywhere else in the country. Behind every one of those numbers is a family left holding unimaginable grief.
This is why we exist. We offer therapy to people who have lost someone to su***de, and we go into schools, colleges and workplaces across Tees Valley to help build the confidence to have these conversations before it's too late.
On 10 September, the world marks World Su***de Prevention Day under the theme "Changing the Narrative on Su***de." Changing that narrative starts with ordinary conversations in ordinary places, including our workplaces.
If your organisation would like to bring this training to your team, we'd love to talk.
