Imagine eating cake in the beautiful surroundings of Priestnall Allotments... No need to imagine, because on Sunday 19 July, 12.00-4.00pm, you can do just that! It's our annual Open Day, where there'll be 🍰 refreshments and stalls for plants, cut flowers, produce, handicrafts and garden items. Love scarecrows? We'll have those too, in the Members' entries for the Scarecrow Competition. Get that date in your diary and watch this space for further info 💚🌿

The 2026 Priestnall Allotments & Garden Society Open Day will be on Sunday 19 July, 12.00-4.00pm, so get that date in your calendars and we'll see you there! While we're here, did you know that you can become a member of the Society without being a plot holder? For just £3.00 per year - yep, you read that correctly! - you can become a Gardening Society member and enjoy the benefits of the competitive prices for gardening-related stuff in the allotment shop, which is open on Sundays from 10.00am until 12.00 noon. If you're tempted, come along and apply to join in the shop this Sunday, or any Sunday for that matter. If you're interested in becoming a future plot holder, we do have a waiting list of at least six months (plot turnover is a bit unpredictable and timescales can change), but the sooner you get your name on it, the sooner you'll be able to start digging. In addition to our ground-level plots, we also have raised beds for people who need their planting area to be higher up off the ground. There's a waiting list for the raised beds too - please let us know if it's a raised bed you are interested in when you contact us to put your name down. If you'd like to join the waiting list, please email us at [email protected] .

Did you know that you can become a member of PAGS without being a plot holder? For just £3.00 per year - yep, you read that correctly! - you can become a Gardening Society member and enjoy the benefits of the competitive prices for gardening-related stuff in the allotment shop, which will be open on Sundays from 1 Feb, 10.00am until 12.00 noon. If you're tempted, come along and apply to join in the shop when it reopens. Huge thanks to everyone who came to our Open Day on Sunday. It was a great success - much tea was drunk, a good few baked goods were consumed and the big vegetables were admired! We appreciate your support. Here are a few of our site scarecrows seen enjoying the day - some nursery rhyme-themed from the competition, others just doing their regular day jobs.

You'll find us in Laurel End Lane, Heaton Mersey, Stockport, SK4 3LU. If you plan to travel by car, please be aware there is no parking space in Laurel End Lane.
