Last time we ran with Brinksway Cinema Club loads of folks offered welcome feedback, suggestions and encouragement for the screening format!

We’re hoping this year we can make even more thoughtful conversations and hopeful representations of the going on locally and globally. Come down to one of our nights. Next up this Thursday 22nd of Oct 😉👍🏻

Boundary hedges had grown over the road signs and crowded the pavement around this community centre in Stockport.

We cut them back so the signs are visible again, the path is clear and the building is easier to see and get to.

Hedge reduction and trimming across Greater Manchester, Stockport and East Cheshire. Message us for a site visit and a written quote.

HOLLA! Stockport!

We need to pick the basil 🌿 to make a pesto…
We need to pick the basil flowers to make a vinegar
We’ve got buckets to fill with soil
We’ve got barrels to move for our community paint up and orchard plant up prep
We need to shift a few things around to make room for other things
We need to plonk the trees we saved from having no home City of Trees into bigger containers now that they’re thriving
The seed library needs an audit…

And so on…

Come down tomorrow and help us make a community space for everyone in brews and biscuits at the ready. resilienturbangardening we love to see you for chats and action

Great day skill swapping with Z Zurich Foundation Zurich Insurance UK and co-hosting with Resilient Cities Network

We talked about community resilience, buildings and real life experiences of delivering ideas that support climate action. Then we shared our knowledge of creation before putting the team to work on our repurposed icbs donated by Capital & Centric from site

After lunch, we took in a lot of really useful information, research and data about Stockport and the future heat/flood and extreme weather scenarios that areas could face.

All part of the wider collaborative work with partners to build resilience into all aspects of civic and social life. Good day! Thank you all!
