A productive day today in the Wildlife Garden at Etherow CP... tidied up the stump section; improved the edging of the path that skirts round the inside of it; and started construction of the deadwood hedge.

Many thanks to Stockport Hydro for their award of £275 to the "Friends of Etherow CP" to contribute towards the cost of materials for path repairs and raised beds in the gardens. It was part of the Hydro's annual awards supporting groups throughout Stockport

With the help of Men in Sheds Marple, we have recently renovated the Friends of Etherow CP notice board in which we hope to display seasonal information relating to plants and wildlife in the park .

Keg pool had finally burst its bank and the path around it is dangerous and is now officially closed.

Another productive morning clearing Rhododendron bushes in Ernocroft Woods to make room for native plants! On our way back for a brew we were rewarded by this beautiful sight.

Another lovely day working in Etherow CP. It was a joy to see the butterflies in the Paddock Garden and the Cyclamen in the Wildlife Garden

The "Friends Group" have installed welcome signs to the gardens in the Park to encourage people to go in, sit and enjoy them.

The "Friends" have continued the work of previous years ny clearing some brambles, bracts and balsam from Sunny Corner. The benefits can be seen now there's a range of wild flowers coming through !
