The Big Shindig 2026 - one week to go ✨

With just 7 days until we welcome almost 400 guests to our biggest fundraiser of the year, I would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone who has helped make this year the biggest and best Big Shindig yet.

To our committee who has supported gathering tables, some of the best auction prizes we’ve seen yet, and helping through every step of the planning process, we couldn’t have done it without you!

To our fabulous line-up of musicians, who have been absolutely brilliant throughout, our host Des Clarke and all of our suppliers, your commitment has been incredible and I will never be able to thank you all enough.

To everyone who has donated a prize, given up their time, sponsored or supported our event in any way, we are SO grateful.

And of course, to our guest list, thank YOU - we can’t wait to welcome you.

See you on the 25th! 💛

BEHIND THE SCENES AT BALFRON HIGH SCHOOL 🎥

Take a little look behind the scenes as we visited Balfron High School this week, to film a video showcasing the work we do as part of our ongoing partnership with the school.

Our work with Balfron High School has been incredibly important to us, helping us reach young people, support their wellbeing and make sure they know there is always someone there to listen.

A huge thank you to Neil McQuarrie, Elaine Bannatyne and the amazing pupils who gave their time and got involved, and to Up Next Studios for helping make this video happen. We can’t wait to share the finished video soon! 💛

Today, to mark World Mental Health Day, we’re sharing Cammy’s story.

When Cammy first received support from Back Onside, he didn’t know if he wanted to continue his career in music. Now, he’s performing in some of the country’s largest venues, and it is amazing to see how far he has come.

But these services can only continue with support from people like you. Every counselling session, every crisis call out, every school drop in and everything else is funded by donations, sponsorships and fundraising. So please, if you can, donate to Back Onside this World Mental Health Day, to allow us to continue the work we do.

You can donate, hear more stories and find out more about what we do by visiting our website at backonside.com.

Thank you 💛
