Dear Parents and Carers,

We would like to invite you to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of our Out of School Club. The club is operated by a Scottish charitable organisation run entirely by volunteer parents, whose role is to ensure the club provides a safe, high-quality, and affordable service for all families who rely on it.

The AGM is an important opportunity for you to have your say in how the club is run. Your views help shape the future of the service, and parent involvement is essential.

The hard truth is a charity, therefore the club cannot operate without volunteer parent trustees—these trustees oversee governance, support staff, and help secure the club’s long-term sustainability. NO TRUSTEES = NO CLUB.

We warmly encourage all parents to attend and consideration for coming on board as a trustee. Even if you cannot commit to being a trustee, your presence and contribution make a real difference.

COSC is a registered charity, set up to provide out of school care for families at Cornton Primary School.

What do our young people get up to at COSC?

Where do we start!

Games, crafts, messy play, toys, parties, trips to the library, the playpark, playing inside and outside, whatever the weather ... never a dull moment at COSC 😊

We run entirely independent from the school, so there is a fee to attend to cover all our costs (staff, snack, rent, insurance, etc). However, we are non-profit, and we're very grateful for grant funding which means we can offer some places at no cost.

We're open every school day, with morning and after school sessions from 8AM to 6PM.

All kids need to be registered with the club to attend. Please get in touch if you'd like to find out more:

We have a job opening at our Cornton out of school care!

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic play worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the necessary skills to foster their development through play and structured activities.

The job role is part time - term time only to work within our morning club 8-9am and after school club 3-6pm.

We're one of the rare out of school clubs that offer flexibility, reasonable fee's and more importantly, availability.

8 am - 9 am, Monday to Friday, £3 per session
3.15 pm - 6pm, Monday to Friday, £13 per session

A message from Cornton Primary Parent Council 📢

Only 1 sleep to go! If you know any P1 parents, please let them know that the Parent Council will be hosting a "Tea and Tissues" event by the climbing frame at the picnic tables at the school tomorrow, after drop off.

Parents can come and meet other parents and members of the Parent Council. There will be tea and biscuits (and tissues as required). There will be friendly faces and lots of assurance about your little P1 on their first day with some advice and support going forward! Otherwise see you all tomorrow!!

🎯 We do have spaces in both our
Morning Club (8-9AM, £3), and

for children at Cornton Primary School, and we do offer a limited number of fully funded places.

🎯 We're based in the School Hall, but we spend a lot of time out in the school grounds when the weather allows 🌱 ⚽ 🎨
